Fantail / Piwakawaka Classic T shirt

Description

The aim of this  artwork  to capture the birds flirtatious movements as they dart around you in a chaotic fashion.  I used pen and ink to make individual drawings taken from photographs of this friendly New Zealand bird. I then assembled the images making the birds slightly smaller at the top of the print to convey a sense of perspective. Piwakawaka, Fantails love to dart about your feet in the bush as you kick up the  forest floor and aid their hunt for tasty insects. Maori  legend has it, these birds bring us messages from the spirit world.

Colours available are black screen print on to Cream, Light Blue, Moss green or Grey Marl fabric.

Fabric – Heavy weight 200 gm knitted cotton.

T shirt available in standard non gender specific  sizes – Small, Medium, Large, XL, 2XL.

T Shirt Care Instructions – These T shirts are hard wearing and can go into a general wash. All coloured garments should be hung on the line to dry inside out to protect the fabric from bleaching by the harsh NZ sun.

The T shirts arrive to me, ready made from a supplier in Auckland. They are made from a  good quality heavy weight knitted cotton fabric that wears well and does not shrink.
