KEEPING IT SIMPLE

I only collect your personal information when you choose to give it to me, e.g. the contact details you give me when making a purchase.

All orders placed on this site and those collected by phone, email or in person are placed into an order book stored by the date the order is placed. Another copy of your order is filed under your first name so that I can refer to your measurements for any further orders. This is a paper based system that only I have access too.

You may request a copy of all the information I have about you, or for your information to be deleted, or corrected, as governed by the Privacy Act of New Zealand.

Your email is necessary so that I can send you information on the courier number and the date your skirt has left my Nelson workshop.

None of your information is shared with any other person or sold to any other organisation. I run this company on my own with just a few trustworthy contractors.

I am working with a very experienced local website designer to develop this website to enable you to purchase the garments and artwork I make, efficiently and with confidence.

I do not store your credit card information. My website uses SSL and all payments are handled by a secure, PCI compliant third party.

I collect web statistics automatically about your visit to my site based on your IP address. This information is used to help me follow browsing preferences on my site so that I can regularly improve my web site. I do not use this information to identify you as an individual and you will remain anonymous, unless you are asked to identify yourself by completing a form or an online transaction. The information I gather will also enable me to better understand your needs and how you use my  web site and services so that I can continue to improve my performance over time.

I use cookies to store visitors preferences, record session information, such as items that consumers add to their shopping cart, record user-specific information on what pages users access or visit, alert visitors to new areas that I think might be of interest to them when they return to my site, record past activity at a site in order to provide better service when visitors return to my site , customise Web page content based on visitors’ browser type or other information that the visitor sends.

If you would prefer to speak to me in person to place your order feel free to do this but please keep it within the NZ working day. Sunday – Friday.

MADCAT online orders are constantly monitored by myself during the day NZ time. You can safely leave messages on both my land line and cell phone as I am the only one that listens to them.

I can process your credit card details over the phone and send your receipt with your garment. I do not keep your credit card details.

DO NOT add your credit card details to any emails you may send me.

For all internet banking payments please use your first name and the product you are purchasing as a reference e.g. Anne skirt

Your email is entered into the Mail Chimp news letter programme. If you do not want to receive emails then please unsubscribe. It is an easy to find the box at the bottom of your first email. I will not be wasting your time with endless useless emails. I will keep them to the point and above all, interesting!

Testimonials from customers are very important to me on this site. I want to reassure people that I run a trusted, reliable and customer-focused NZ fashion company. The testimonials are gathered by customers adding their own comments to this site. I do use some of the rave emails I receive from customers with their written permission. I think it is only appropriate to refer to their first names and the cities they are living in. I am a very private person and I respect the privacy of my customers.
